Flexible furnishing for future-proof workspaces

The conversion and interior fit-out of Volksbank Fellbach follows a modern „Village“ concept: a central marketplace, discreet consultation zones and technically optimally equipped working areas create an environment that fosters exchange while at the same time ensuring the necessary privacy. Our agile furniture and spatial solutions make a decisive contribution: they support flexible ways of working, improve the room acoustics and encourage teamwork. The focus of the project was on equipping the meeting and working areas with colourful acoustic absorbers, furniture from the flomo collection and the versatile Xbrick® multifunctional pieces.

The coloured absorbers in acoustically effective PET felt can be hung effortlessly into the mounting brackets of the flomo rail wall strips and contribute to better room acoustics. Complementing them, the flomo board whiteboards are flexibly deployed on the wall strips or on flomo easel stands. Perfect for use in the creative space, they support the visualisation of ideas, processes and projects and thus actively foster communication and teamwork. 

With the Volksbank Fellbach reference project we demonstrate how flexible spatial concepts, effective acoustic solutions and modern agile furniture come together as a coherent overall image. The result is an open, communicative and acoustically optimised working environment that meets the demands of modern banking workplaces.

Despite the challenges of a complete refurbishment in a short construction time, the architects Isin +Co GmbH & Co. placed great emphasis on sustainability and the reuse of existing building fabric. We extend our warmest congratulations on winning the German Design Award 2026 for the outstanding design concept of Volksbank Fellbach.
