Walls that think along

The Endress+Hauser Group, headquartered in Reinach BL in Switzerland, ranks among the global leaders in measurement instrumentation, services and solutions for industrial process engineering. In June 2022, Endress+Hauser Digital Solutions GmbH moved with its Product Center into the new location at the Freiburg Innovation Centre (FRIZ). For the Product Center, a spatial concept was developed that responds specifically to the teams’ flexible ways of working and needs.

Spatial structure through flomo wall and flomo board

Meeting and seeing one another in an open spatial concept with opportunities to retreat – these were Endress+Hauser’s requirements, which smow Schwarzwald translated and implemented into an overall concept. Where innovative topics are tackled by interdisciplinary teams that constantly reorganise themselves, you need innovative and adaptable systems that shape the spatial structure adaptively and stimulate mutual exchange and a change of perspective.

This is made possible by the flomo wall, our floor-to-ceiling guided frame construction, which – subdivided into three panels – effortlessly accommodates fillings such as acoustic felt or wood within its hollow-channel frame, dividing the space both visually and acoustically. Centrally placed at writing height: the flomo board.

The staff intuitively embraced the system, use the flomo board for brainstorming and can simply take it along to the next meeting. Retreat options for focused exchange emerge effortlessly when open spaces are closed off using the flomo wall. We wish the staff continued good ideas and lots of joy with our products.

The idea: looking at projects from different angles, exchanging views and understanding other perspectives is reflected in the flexible spatial structures.
