Our apprentice Josua in Rwanda: craft, culture and unforgettable encounters
At the end of March, our apprentice Josua took part, together with a team from the Philipp-Matthäus-Hahn-Schule Nürtingen, in a 10-day project in Rwanda. On site, they redesigned a storage room and gathered valuable practical experience. Beyond that, the trip offered intensive insights into another culture and enabled numerous enriching encounters.
The pictures show the variety of the trip: from working together at workbenches and machines, to a visit to a primary school, all the way to cultural highlights. Josua and the team helped repair furniture, played volleyball with the pupils and experienced lively togetherness during shared meals.
Particularly exciting were also the encounters with Rwanda’s wildlife: giraffes and zebras in the wild left lasting impressions.
We have been supporting and promoting this project for many years as a reliable partner, and we are proud to have made a contribution this time as well. We are all the more delighted by Josua’s great commitment. His experiences impressively show how enriching intercultural exchange and hands-on craftsmanship can be.
