Futuromundo 2025

Inspiration, innovation and creativity combined
On 3 and 4 July 2025, Stuttgart became a hotspot for shaping the future: the FUTUROMUNDO Multi-Conference & Festival brought together experts and interested participants from education, technology, science, business and society. Right in the middle of it: our agile furniture series flomo and Xbrick®, which not only equipped the booth of Arnulf Betzold GmbH but were also used in the central Maker Space Area. A particular highlight was the colourful, large-scale FUTUROMUNDO logo built from Xbrick® – a full 2.50 metres high and 3.80 metres wide – that welcomed visitors impressively right at the entrance.
FUTUROMUNDO was all about questions of the future: how do we want to learn, work and live? Around 200 international speakers shared their visions across more than ten locations around the Stuttgart Liederhalle. Teachers, pupils, artists, entrepreneurs and representatives from politics and public administration came together to rethink education, the economy and society – hands-on, creative and interdisciplinary. In the Maker Space Area, visitors could become active themselves and use plotters, laser cutters, 3D printers or wood to bring their own ideas to life as bracelets, key rings, coasters and more.
In the workshop “Moving learning environments, grasping space – and what a simple cuboid has to do with it”, Helen from wd3 GmbH gave practical inspiration: from a seating circle in which Xbrick® is used to drum or balance, to number towers and life-size spatial visualisations, all the way to a rocket built from Xbrick® that takes off towards Mars with the AR app Xplore. Many ideas for how learning comes alive through movement, hands-on activity and experimenting yourself.
A festival full of impulses
FUTUROMUNDO 2025 has shown how powerful the exchange between education, technology and creativity can be. We are glad to have been part of this inspiring dialogue about the future with our agile furniture. We are excited to see which ideas and collaborations will continue to grow out of these two days.
